About Hypnosis
A very normal state of mind

There has been much misinformation about hypnosis. Hypnosis is completely safe!
Hypnosis is simply a state of deep relaxation and attentive focus. Hypnotic trance is a very normal state which you experience many times during your waking hours. When you become engrossed while watching a movie, you are in a state where you become absorbed in the characters and what is happening in the movie. You are vaguely aware of your actual surroundings. You will probably even block out distractions such as someone who is speaking or a dog barking outside.
You have probably had the experience of driving home in your car and thinking of something which may be on your mind, then pulling into your driveway without even remembering how you got home. That is because your subconscious mind was on auto-pilot while your conscious mind was focused on another event. These are both examples of hypnotic trance.

The Conscious mind is the thinking, organizational and decision making part and is sometimes inactive. It controls only 2-4 % of perceptions and behaviors.

The Subconscious mind is always active, It controls 96-98% of perceptions and behaviors. It processes about 400 billion operations per second! It contains the memory of all experiences. It is the seat of emotions, imagination and fantasy and it controls physiology and healing mechanisms. It is the control center of the autonomic nervous system - controlling breathing, heart rate, organ and glandular function.

During hypnosis you are always in control. You cannot be made to do or think anything you don't want to. Through hypnosis we can make permanent changes in our subconscious by exploring the root of our issues and learn to accept and let go of negative subconscoius impressions. In hypnosis we are able to communicate directly with the subconscious mind.

As you probably know, brain activity can be electronically measured by an EEG or Electroenncephalogram. When you are active during the day your brain is in the Beta state. As we relax the brainwaves slow and we enter the Alpha state. The illustration below shows what brainwave activity looks like on an EEG. During past life regression, it is most advantageous when you are in the very relaxed state of Theta brain waves.

During a Past Life Regression session we simply integrate conscious and subconscious memory.
